What burger is McDonald’s adding to its menu?

After McDonald’s fans made it a hit in select cities, including Seattle, Miami and Chicago, the Daily Double has joined the restaurant’s menu nationwide. The latest McDonald’s burger is an exciting new menu addition for fans who crave a classic-style cheeseburger with a little more heft than your standard McDonald’s cheeseburger. It features two 100% beef patties and melted American cheese, plus all of the fixings.
How is it different from a Big Mac?
While both the Daily Double and Big Mac have two 100% beef patties, American cheese, shredded lettuce and diced onions, that’s where the similarities stop. The Daily Double is served on a standard bun, while a Big Mac comes on a three-part sesame seed bun. And the Daily Double comes with mayonnaise and sliced tomatoes—a major difference from the Big Mac, which has Big Mac sauce instead of mayo and does not include tomatoes. Plus, the Big Mac comes with pickles!
How much will it cost?
McDonald’s prices vary from one region to the next, but the Daily Double has been spotted in New York City for $5.89. And soon it will be available as an entree option for McDonald’s McValue Meal Deal bundle, which is priced at either $6 or $7, depending on where you live. McDonald’s McValue Meal Deal bundle includes not just your entree but a four-piece Chicken McNuggets, a small order of fries and a small soft drink too.
When will it be available?
The Daily Double is already available at McDonald’s locations nationwide and will remain on the menu across the United States through the end of 2025. But if you’re waiting to try it until it’s included in the McValue Meal Deal bundle, you’ll have to hold on a little longer. The Daily Double will be an option for the McValue Meal Deal beginning July 22.
What are fans saying about the Daily Double?
The Daily Double was already beloved in some cities, but now that it’s available nationwide, fans are really excited. The user behind the @snackolater Instagram account announced the news of the menu addition in a video, and McDonald’s lovers raced to the comments to share their enthusiasm.
“Chicago has always had the Daily Double. It’s quite delicious,” wrote one burger aficionado. “I been getting the daily double FOREVER!” commented another. A third put it very succinctly, writing, “Yum!”
If there’s one thing the Daily Double proves, it’s that McDonald’s aims to give the people what they want, and testing it out in select cities paid off for burger lovers everywhere.
