Amazon Prime is more than just another streaming service. It’s an all-access pass to fast shipping, exclusive sales and endless entertainment.
The most noteworthy perks of a Prime membership include free delivery on Amazon orders and access to Prime Video’s vast library of movies and TV shows. But for music and book lovers, the membership also packs in ad-free music streaming and a digital library of books and magazines.
And the perks don’t end there. Prime members enjoy early access to Lightning Deals, big savings during events like Prime Day, and hidden gems like Amazon’s First Reads program. Heck, you can even score free Grubhub+ and savings at the fuel pump!
Amazon First Reads is a program that offers early access to new books across popular genres—think thrillers, romance and fantasy. Prime members have free access to the new releases.
Here’s how it works: Each month, Amazon editors curate a selection of Kindle books. Customers can choose one for $1.99, while Prime members can snag theirs for free.
You can read Amazon First Reads picks on any Kindle device or with the Kindle app, and once you download them, they’re yours to keep. There’s no cost to join and no obligation to buy anything.
Subscribers also receive a monthly email with the latest First Reads selections. And if you’re a Kindle Unlimited member, you can borrow most previous First Reads titles for free.
The membership that opens the door to insider deals on books, entertainment, music and more.
To join Amazon Prime, head to the Prime page on Amazon’s website, pick a membership plan, and follow the steps to sign in or create a new Amazon account. If you qualify, you can get started with a 30-day free trial. Membership costs $14.99 per month (or $139 per year) for regular subscribers, or $7.49 per month ($69 per year) for students.
